Mother Lode Round-Up- Mother's Day Weekend in May
The Mother Lode Round Up is an annual event held on Mother's Day Weekend each year. It kicks off with events throughout the week leading up to the Parade on Saturday Morning and followed up by a good old fashioned Rodeo in the afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. The whole town turns out to support the parade participants and the Rodeo cowboys.
Lumber Jack Jubilee- 3rd weekend in June
If you've got a plaid shirt in the closet and an eye for chain saw sculpture, this is the event for you. Held in the old time logging town of Tuolumne, this annual event is a showcase for logging skills still prevelant in our timber industry.
The 4th of July wouldn't be complete without the picnics and parade at Columbia State Historic Park followed by fireworks on Lake Don Pedro. It's a real old fashioned good time - and a chance to catch up with friends and family.
Christmas Parade-Last Friday of November ( day after Thanksgiving)
Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, Sonora prepares for Santa with a candle light procession and parade. All the shops stay open and serve mulled wine and Christmas treats during late night shopping. Community spirit is alive and well in the Mother Lode.
